Dear Church Family –
Wow! What an amazing and fantastic Children’s Christmas program last night! When things are done with excellence and greatness it honors God, draws people, and builds in our kids a love and excitement for our great and mighty God! And best of all, it had a compelling message about Jesus, the Light of the world. So, thanks to Liz Pearce, Rachel Busenitz, Bitty Wiebe, and all the kids for a well-planned, well-produced, and well-done Christmas program!
Yesterday morning we talked about the essential life-ingredient of joy. “…the joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). I’d like to pass on to you the prayer we ended with. It’s by John Piper from his book, Future Grace.
“I pray that you will hear and follow the call to find your joy in all that God promises to be for you in Jesus. And I pray that the expulsive power of this new affection will go on freeing you from the fleeting pleasures of sin, and empower you for a life of sacrificial love.”
