Dear Church Family –
We thank God this morning for a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah! Israel says it has achieved it’s stated strategic war aims concerning Hezbollah. Both sides have agreed to cease cross-border fighting and to allow civilians on both sides to return to their homes. The agreement prohibits Hezbollah from rebuilding its infrastructure and from stockpiling supplies for a future attack.
We have much to be thankful for as we gather tomorrow morning to bring our verbal offering of thanksgiving to God. I hope you’ll come tomorrow ready to share thanks to God for what He has done for you over the last year. Here’s some “Thanksgiving Prompters” to get you thinking:
Material blessings
People in your life
Guidance
Comfort
Family
Friends
Church
Work
Physical and mental abilities
Beauty
Peace
Love
Salvation
God who cares and answers prayer
What would you add to the list?
We look forward to hearing your expressions of thanksgiving tomorrow, the verses that have been meaningful to you, and singing the songs you choose. Our Thanksgiving Morning Service is a way of putting God first, acknowledging Him in all our ways, and rejoicing in Him.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul,
And forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities,
Who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the eagle.” (Ps 103:1-5)
With thanksgiving – Pastor Tim
