Our Pastor

PASTOR.jpg

I enjoy being a pastor. What motivates me in ministry is being a helper of people’s joy.

Pastor Tim Mace

“Not that we lord it over your faith, but are workers with you for your joy” (2 Cor. 1:24)

My wife, Judith, and I are delighted to be part of the Emmaus Church family. We enjoy being part of a church that is a Bible Knowledge Center, a Missions Center, and a Family Center. I’ve been a Senior Pastor for 35 years and have a Doctorate and Masters from Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, IN. My wife and I are both graduates of Calvary Bible College in Kansas City. (Now Calvary University.) Judith is also a Berean Academy graduate which has been a great connection with the Emmaus family and community.

I  preach the Bible and have three goals in preaching:

• To be interesting enough that people want to listen.
• To be informative enough that people have some truth to live by.
• To be inspiring enough that they want to do something about it.

I play guitar and Judith plays harp and piano. We have three daughters and ten grandchildren.  God has given me the opportunity to serve on community and denominational boards to represent Christ and our church in the community. I currently serve on The Harvey County Substance Abuse Board, The Newton Weekday Bible School Board, and the Calvary University President's Advisory Panel.  But mostly I love being a part of a great local church ministry, “for your progress and joy of faith” (Phil. 1:25).
